Hi, I’m Markus. As president of the Munich Business Speakers, I am responsible for providing the supportive club environment. After I got in touch with the idea of Toastmasters in London, I became a member in 2007. I wanted to improve my skills in public speaking. After that time, I learned how much more Toastmaster provides. As founding Member of the Munich Business Speakers I started to take responsibility as an Officer. At first I was Sergeant at Arms, later as VP Membership and President. Now its my second time as President and I want to push our club forward together with my highly motivated Officer Team.
This year I want to continue working on the leadership track, to become an Advanced Leader Bronze. I am also motivated to make some advanced speech projects to entertain our members and to make some steps towards the Advanced Communicator Bronze status.
All of these skills I improved as a Toastmaster I use on a day to day basis in my professional life. As consultant and salesman in the Financial Service Industry, it is very important to explain complex issues in
common and understandable words.

Hi, I’m Franz. As VP Education I am responsible for providing the positive learning environment and assisting every club member to support their work on the Educational Program.
I am a Toastmaster since July 2009 and started right off as an officer. In this role I made sure that all speeches get recorded on a digital cam corder. Together with Bianca Seubert I initiated the production of the Division I commercial. Finally I was founding member and supported the the 10th Toastmaster Club in Munich, the Munich Media Speakers. This year I achieved Competent Communicator as well as Competent Leader.
My goal for this year is to push the Toastmasters Leadership Program and support all our members. Through these initiatives the Munich Business Speakers will become President’s Distinguished Club for the 5th time in a row.
Professionally, I work as an independent, licensed insurance broker (Assekuranzmakler Schiffl und Partner). I’m a certified Business Administrator (VWA) and insurance specialist (IHK). My slogan is: “Committed to the essentials”.

Hi, I’m Tobias. As VP Public Relations I am responsible for coordinating an active public relations and publicity program which helps to attract new members. I started my Toastmaster career at the Munich Business Speakers in July 2009. Since then I served as VP Public Relations from 2010-2011 and I am currently completing the High Performance Leadership Program by building the new club homepage. Professionally I am conducting my PhD thesis in molecular biotechnology in the field of vaccine development. Toastmasters is especially important to me, since it helped me to be more outgoing with other people and present with more ease. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions!
Bernhard Wondra

Hi, I’m Bernhard. As Secretary I am responsible for keeping clear and accurate records of club business, including membership records and correspondence with Toastmasters International’s World Headquarters.
I joined Toastmasters in the summer of 2009 and finally decided to get more involved. My personal goal for the Toastmasters year 2011-2012 is to digitalize all club documentations that accumulated over the last years.
Professionally, I am a sales manager at a distribution company and need to talk a lot to people, both in English as well as in German. Therefore I came to Toastmasters with a simple goal: I wanted to improve my speaking capabilities.

Hi, I’m Yini. As Treasurer I am responsible for keeping clear and accurate financial records of club business and for seeing that the club remains financially stable.
I got to know about Toastmasters since December 2010. I like the Munich Business Speakers since I feel no constraints whatsoever to speak out my ideas, no matter if it’s on the stage or during the break. As the Treasurer of our club, I would like to take transparent financial transactions and keep our financial balance at the safe level. My tasks as officer can also help me improve my skills in Team Working and communication.
Thomas Sauer
Sergeant at Arms

Hi, I’m Tom. As Sergeant At Arms I am responsible for maintaining club properties, arranging the meeting room and welcoming members and guests at each meeting. I’ve been a member since 2009 and I held the office of VP Education during the Toastmaster year 2010-2011. I joined Toastmasters because, even after years of teaching, training and public speaking, I knew I was still making all sorts of mistakes. I wanted to work through a program that would give me a chance to get valuable feedback on presentations before actually giving them to customers. What I discovered was an excellent training for building my leadership skills as well. In 2011 I earned the Competent Communicator award, and in the Toastmaster year 2011-2012 I plan on completing the Competent Leadership and Competent Communicator Bronze manuals. I now enjoy (not fear) participating in speech contests and impromptu table topics.
I’m an intercultural language coach in Munich, helping managers in technical companies get what they want from negotiations in English with foreign customers and partners. I do this by exploiting learning styles to build confidence and accelerate performance for quick results.
